Edmund Kurt Goetze, 75, a native of Chicago, Ill. and Mountain Home, Ark. and a resident of Foley, passed away Monday, Feb. 24, 2014.
He was a longtime resident of Memphis, Tenn. For more than five years, he was employed as a broadcaster and reporter.
He semi-retired to the Gulf Shores-Foley area four years ago.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Karl and Clara Goetze; and a son, Kurt Goetze.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Margaret H. Goetze of Foley; a son, Mark Edmund Goetze of Atoka, Tenn.; stepchildren, Mark Dickinson of Arizona, Hannah Shoe of Memphis, Tenn. and Paul Dickinson of Eads, Tenn.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, many other family and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
