Edna R. McNeeley, age 87, a resident of Bay Minette, passed away Monday, Dec. 12, 2016.
Edna was a longtime member of Durant Chapel Baptist Church and a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Toulmin Lodge #455.
She retired from civil service after 27 years of service in aircraft maintenance.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James (Buck) McNeeley; two daughters, Carol Jackson and Charlotte Rorex; two sons, Danny Harcey and Charles Wesley Harcey.
She is survived by her children, David Harcey of Mobile, Alabama, Anne Allen (Tom) of Gulf Breeze, Florida, Robin Harcey (Marcie) of Pine Mountain, Georgia, Frances Durrance (Steve) of Troutville, Virginia and Glindon McNeeley (Beth) of Mobile, Alabama. She has 23 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 32 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Betty Bailey of Bay Minette, Alabama and Janie Fredrickson of Birmingham, Alabama.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Durant Chapel Baptist Church in Bay Minette, Alabama.
Mrs. Edna will lie in state one hour prior to service time.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016, from 5 until 7 p.m., at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne.
Pallbearers are Chris Allen, John David Harcey, Matthew Jackson, Gary Booze, Scotty Adams and Barry Fredrickson.
Honorary pallbearers are Preston Harcey, Blake Harcey, Buddy Bowden and Jimmy Lawrence.
Interment will follow at Durant Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in Bay Minette.
