Edward Charles Brueggemann, 62, a native of St. Louis, Mo., and a longtime resident of Fairhope, died Saturday, June 11, 2011.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. He was a loving husband, father and a great friend to many. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending time in his flower gardens, reading and studying.
He was a volunteer at the Waterfront Rescue Mission. He was a local pharmacist for over 35 years. He was a graduate of Auburn University Pharmacy School.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Brueggemann and Cecilia Brueggemann Wood, and stepfather, Reed Wood.
Survivors include his
wife of 23 years, Frances B. Brueggemann of Fairhope; two sons, Karl Brueggemann of Birmingham and Eric Brueggeman of Fairhope;
three daughters, Sarah Brueggeman of Birmingham,
Leah (Mike) Casey of Atlanta and Kate Cecilia Brueggemann of Fairhope;
one granddaughter , Ava Casey of Atlanta; many other relatives and friends.
Visitation begins at 10 a.m. with a memorial service at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 16 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
