"font-family:">Edward D. “Ned” Colgan, 87, born in Cleveland, Ohio and a native and resident of Summerdale, died Friday, Dec. 30, 2011.
"font-family:">He was a WWII veteran, serving in the Air Corps, and was a lifelong farmer in Summerdale.
"font-family:">He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice Colgan; and son, Edward Charles Colgan.
"font-family:">He is survived by three daughters, Rebecca Taylor of Summerdale, Patsy (John) Mullek of Robertsdale and Marcia (Eddie) Jordan of Summerdale; a brother, Charles Patrick Colgan of Euclid, Ohio; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
"font-family:">Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012, at 2 p.m., at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Robertsdale, with burial in Pine Rest Memorial Park in Foley.
"font-family:">A visitation will be held Tuesday, Jan. 3, from 6-8 p.m., at Mack Funeral Home.
"font-family:">In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Summerdale Elementary School Library or the St. Patrick’s School Library.
