Edward “Eddie” Hesse

Edward “Eddie” Hesse passed away on June 20, 2015 after a brief illness. He was 78.

Mr. Hesse was born on April 15, 1937, in Foley to the late Frances (née Schulte) and John Hesse.

Mr. Hesse was a member of St. Margaret’s Catholic Church, a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and cousin.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy; two sons, Stephen (Trudy) Hesse of Gulf Shores and Andrew (Shannon) Hesse of Fairhope, Ala.; brother, John (Carolyn) Hesse of Foley; sisters, Catherine Lehman of Summerdale and Mary Ann “Sissy” (Billy) Strain of Richmond, Va. and the late Bernice Harrison of Atmore; grandson, Hayden Hesse of Foley; granddaughters, Barclay Hesse of Foley and Claire and Sara Evelyn Hesse of Fairhope, Ala.; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Hesse is also survived by Peggy’s brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and extended family. Last, but not least, Eddie and Peggy’s dog, Tinkerbell.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 1 at Mack Funeral Home in Robertsdale, from 6-8 p.m.

The funeral mass will be Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 10:30 a.m., at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Foley, Ala., with Father Paul Zoghby officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Margaret’s Building Fund or the Alzheimer’s Association.
