Edward Raymond Dudgeon, 79, went home to the Lord Dec. 13, 2013.

He served his country faithfully for 22 years in the U.S. Air Force, then moved his family from Japan to Pensacola after retiring from the service.

He loved ice cream, NASCAR, gardening, cooking, football, his grandkids and great-grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Avis Selke Dudgeon; his mother, Rose Fisher Dudgeon, and father, Raymond Dudgeon, of Lucan, Minn.; and a sister, Lee Anne Dudgeon Smith.

He is survived by seven brothers and sisters; son, Thom (Connie) Dudgeon; daughters, Jill Dudgeon and Robin (Carl) Punyko; granddaughter, Kinzie (Adam) Harvell; grandson, Christopher Thomas Dudgeon; and three wonderful great-grandchildren.

His family extends their heartfelt thanks to his good friend Ricky Foster and his “second family” —  the William F. Green State Veterans Home in Bay Minette.
