Edwin Addison Sheldon Jr. passed away Feb. 1, 2016 in Raton, N.M.
Ed retired as a plant manager from Vulcan Inc. in Foley, Ala.
Ed was born July 15, 1936 to the late Edwin A. Sheldon and Mildred Chancellor Sandt Sheldon in Fairhope, Ala.
Ed is survived by his wife of 59 years, Amy Evans Sheldon; five children, Mary Sheldon, Ed Sheldon III, Annette (John) Salvatore, Theresa (Kirk) Andersen, Patricia Lee.
He will be missed by his grandchildren, David Kilbourn, Michael Kilbourn, Robert (Lieutske) Kilbourn, Ed (Lauren Linder) Sheldon IV, Alisa Sheldon and Samuel Salvatore.
Ed was preceded in death by his half-sister, Betty Boone.
A memorial service will be held April 8, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Spanish Fort.
