SPANISH FORT, Ala. — The Internet should be a critical part of every business — and not simply, “Yes, we have a website,” the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce states.
The chamber’s Business Academy continues to offer courses featuring topics to help the business community succeed. The next workshop — titled, “Effectively Market Your Business on the World Wide Web,” with Kathy Estadt of Fresh Focus Group and Marcus Neto of Blue Fish Design Studio — is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 17 at 5 Rivers Delta Resource Center on the Causeway in Spanish Fort.
“This is going to be a very interactive seminar so bring laptops,” said Estadt. “It’s our intention that each participant will come away with a strategic plan to begin or ramp up their online marketing.”
Participants will learn how to leverage the power of the Internet. They will learn how to:
* Attract more traffic to their Web sites
* Create and acquire quality content
* Convert traffic into sales
* Best practices for search engine optimization and search engine marketing
* Social marketing
“The information at this seminar will be accessible to everyone. So those who are not ‘computer people’ should fear not,” said Neto. “Come have fun with us!”
