Eileen Clark Jennings, born April 8, 1930, Buena Vista, Miss., died Dec. 3, 2012 in Fairhope.
Married Dec. 28, 1948 to Bert Roy Jennings Jr. Lived in Union County, Miss., for 48 years, before moving to Summerdale, Ala. Preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Elizabeth, who passed away Nov. 17, 2007, and her brother, John Clark, she is survived by her husband of 64 years, Bert Roy Jennings Jr.; her son, Bert Roy Jennings III, and daughter-in-law, Shannon Mullen Jennings of Fairhope; granddaughter, Caitlin O’Neil Jennings, pursuing a Master’s Degree at the University of South Carolina and grandson, Bert Roy Jennings IV (Jeb), a freshman at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Jennings also leaves behind a brother, Bernard Clark of Blue Mountain, Miss.; sister and brother-in-law, Jimmy and Beth Hill, of Ripley, Miss; sister and brother-in-law Ken and Rebecca Riskedahl, of Tupelo and sister-in-law Shirley (Mrs. John) Clark, of Ripley. Visitation will be held at United Funeral Home in New Albany, Miss., Thursday, Dec. 6,2012 at 9 a.m., followed by funeral services at 10:30 a.m., officiated by her nephew, the Rev. Steve Hill. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Ebenezer Church, and interment will be at Ebenezer Cemetery, Cotton Plant, Miss., after the funeral.
