Elaine Yelverton Bishop, age 67, a native of Selma, and resident of Foley, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012 at a local hospital.
She worked as a patient advocate for the State of Alabama Department of Mental Health in Montgomery from 1981 until she retired in 2009. She is predeceased by her husband Bobby Ray Bishop. Surviving are her daughter, Allison Bishop of Foley; two sons, Michael Bishop of Prattville and Paul (Holly) Bishop of Elberta; three grandchildren, Caden Bishop, Kameryn Bishop and Micheal David Bishop Jr. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at Prattville Memorial Chapel, Prattville. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m.. Interment will follow in Prattville Memorial Gardens. Notes of condolence may be made for the family at hughesfh.com.
