Elbert “Debo” Thomas Jr., age 67, passed away on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 in Bay Minette, Ala.
Mr. Thomas was a native of Fort Payne, Ala and a resident of Bay Minette, for most of his life. His wife, Mary H. Thomas, precedes him in death. Survivors include his two sons, Charles Thomas of Perdido, and Roy Thomas of Foley; three daughters, Paula Douglas of Bay Minette, Betty Thomas of Bay Minette, and Teresa Thomas of Rabun; one brother, Glen Thomas of Bay Minette; one sister, Betty Perry of Bay Minette; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at the Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Garren Martin, C.J. Knox, Chris Travis, Brandon Wiggins, Mike Hyatt and Gary Martin. Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC, in charge of all arrangements, Atmore, Ala.
