ELBERTA, Ala. - The Elberta Farmer's Market plans to have its official opening Saturday for the Spring season.
The growers of the market will offer squash, zucchini, cucumbers, beans, beets, onions, carrots, assorted greens, peppers, eggplant, blackberries, peaches and fresh yard eggs.
"We are the oldest farmer's market in the county," Paul Stryker, volunteer director of the farmer's market, said. "We founded in the year 2000."
The market is opened on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon or until the vendors sell out of their products and is located on U.S. 98 in downtown Elberta.
