Elizabeth “Betty” Christian Brodbeck, 79, a native of Sheffield, and a long-time resident of Fairhope, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2012.
Betty was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, where she was active in the Alter Guild and Ladies Guild.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Arnold M. Brodbeck Jr. of Fairhope;
daughter, Beth O. Brodbeck; son, Martin (Diane) Brodbeck; grandsons, Beau (Beth), Christian (Shanna) and Michael Brodbeck; great-grandchildren, Olivia and Andrew Brodbeck; a special niece, Barbara Gay (John) Crane; nephews, Terry (Sue) Sullivan, David Skinner, Albert Graham (Vivian) Christian III; great nephew, Sean Sullivan; special friend, Betty Strickland; and many other friends and relatives.
Funeral services will be held from Redeemer Lutheran Church, Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at the church from 9 a.m. to the service time.
Interment will follow in Confederate Rest Cemetery.
