Mrs. Elizabeth “Betty” Doyle Christie, 101, a native of New York, N.Y., and a long-time resident of Gulf Shores, passed away Aug. 28, 2011.
Betty was a member of St. Andrew by the Sea of Gulf Shores, and friends of The Library of Gulf Shores.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel L. Christie.
She is survived by her sister, Ruth Fontana, of Foley.
Memorial services will be held at St. Andrew by the Sea Church, in Gulf Shores, Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011 at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to St. Andrew by the Sea Church
