Elizabeth Gorman Lemler, 67, of Fairview, died Friday, May 27, 2011, at the John F. Keever Jr. Solace Center.
A native of Wilmington, N.C., she was a daughter of Freida Lee Brookshire Gorman and James Linden Gorman.
She was a graduate of UNC-Asheville, where she received her B.A. in psychology. She then worked with Asheville psychologist, Dr. Rosenblatt, assisting him with testing before starting her family. She loved to paint, knit and sew, and was a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church.
She was preceded in death by her father; and son, John Sherman Lemler.
Survivors winclude her mother; her husband, Dr. John Frederick Lemler; two daughters, Alicia (Ryan) Gunts of Charleston, S.C., and Angela (Seth) Curtis of Louisville, Ky.; sister, Susan Eifert; brothers, James Gorman, and Robert Gorman; and grandchildren, John Philip and Margaret Ann Gunts, and Nathan Frederick Curtis.
Vistation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 1 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian, Arden, N.C. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 2 at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Brent Norris officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Churchyard.
