Ella Mae McCart, 82, died March 7, 2012, with her daughter by her side. She was born in Elba to Edloe Morris and Vera Grissett. Her father died when she was 18 months old and her mother then married Arthur Miller. Ella Mae married Braswell McCart in January 1947. They were married 63 years, Braswell died Feb. 9, 2009. She had one brother, Howard Miller who is deceased. She worked at a Cotton Mill in Phenix City before moving to Silverhill where she worked for Rosemont Nursing Home as a cook until she retired at 65. She will be missed by all that knew her. Ella Mae is survived by one daughter, Belle (Skeet) Lores, Pensacola, Fla.; one son, Gary (Peggy) McCart, Mobile; two grandchildren, Scott (Angela) Lores, Marriotsville, Md., and Keith (Susan) McCart, Mobile; four great-grandchildren, Ryan Lores, Brandon, Gage and Jaden McCart and many friends. A memorial service was Saturday. Cremation arrangements by Mack Funeral Home, Robertsdale.
