Elroy “Roy” Webb, 86, a native of Coffeeville, Ala. and resident of Spanish Fort, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014.

He proudly served in the Merchant Marine.

Roy loved and fished the Mobile-Tensaw Delta, and was an excellent crappie fisherman, as well as skilled at catching fish of any type.

He was an avid hunter, and a member of the Eastern Shore Antique Bottle Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Edison Webb and Bertie Truitt Webb; and his siblings, Edison Webb and Easter Opal Dickey.

Roy is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, LaTrelle Dozier Webb, originally of Thomasville and longtime resident of Spanish Fort; his daughter, Tammy Jackson-Rowell and her husband Mike Rowell of Fairhope; his grandson, Truitte Webb Jackson and Fallan Batchelor of Orange Beach; his surviving siblings, Gertrude Hope, Jeanette (James T.) Murray, Imogene Price, Donnie J. Webb and Judy Elesia Freeman; and many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne on Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until time of the service.

Interment will follow in Jubilee Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spanish Fort United Methodist Church, 6530 Spanish Fort Blvd., Spanish Fort, AL 36527.
