Emily Rose Dearborn, 84, a lifelong resident of Silverhill, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014.

Mrs. Dearborn was the daughter of Frank and Blanche Havel Heidelberg.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Harold Dearborn; two sons, Michael (Esther) Dearborn of Orange Beach and Danny (Tina) Dearborn of Silverhill; two daughters, Patsy (Norman) Ferguson of Kennesaw, Ga. and Twila (Marty) Murfin of Silverhill; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Silverhill First Baptist Church for almost 60 years. During that time she served the church in many ways. Part of this time was spent crocheting with the weekly Crafting Ladies group.

Mr. and Mrs. Dearborn made many trips with the Baldwin Baptist Builders group, volunteering to work across the country. She also remained active in community events, even volunteering at the library and Thomas Hospital.

For 23 years she was the bookkeeper at Robertsdale High School. After retirement she continued to volunteer at the high school for many more years.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 28, 2014, from 6-8 p.m., at Mack Funeral Home in Robertsdale.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 29, 2014, at 10 a.m., at Silverhill First Baptist Church. Interment will be held following the service at Fairhope Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the National Alzheimer Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
