Emma Lena Duck Trawick, age 99, born in the Old Brady Community and a resident of Stapleton, died Thursday, July 5, 2012 at her residence. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her children, Melba (Philip) Banning Day and Leon (Faye) Trawick both of Stapleton; one brother, Horace Duck of Crossroads; six grandchildren, Dean Banning, Tony Banning, Richard Banning, Elizabeth May, Charles Phillips and Cary Phillips; fifteen great- grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil A. Trawick and a granddaughter, Cathy Banning Newberry. The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Stapleton United Methodist Church with the Pastor Robin Noble and the Reverend Tony Banning officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Hills Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday, July 7, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service at Stapleton United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice or to your church. Pallbearers will be Dean Banning, Tony Banning, Richard Banning, Charles Phillips, Cary Phillips and Don Newberry.
