ESILL’s new term begins

FAIRHOPE, Ala. — ESILL, the Eastern Shore Institute for Lifelong Learning, which has been offering “School For the Fun of It” to locals since 1977, begins its winter/spring term in February. Laurie Wiggins, curriculum development chair, promises a strong lineup of courses on a wide variety of topics: history, music, art, crafts, literature, science, and more.

“We are always looking for new instructors and new courses, and we’re happy to have so many this term. Just for a few examples, we will offer Spanish-language and film classes, as well as courses on Turkish History, Science and History of Flight, Yoga and Hammered Dulcimer.”

Classes for the new term open every week between Feb. 2 and March 10 at ESILL’s Fairhope, Daphne, and Foley locations. Students are encouraged to register early because some classes have limited space, but registration remains open throughout the term. Tuition is just $4.50 per course hour, and some classes have additional supply fees. Members of the Friends of ESILL receive a $5 discount on each class taken.”

For more information about ESILL, Friends of ESILL, or for course descriptions, visit www.ESILL.org. Course schedules are available at libraries throughout Baldwin County, the Fairhope Museum of History and Welcome Center, the James P. Nix Center and other public locations.
