Eva Aleen Soesbe, lovingly known as “Me Me,” died Monday, May 12, 2014 at her home in Foley.

Born on Feb. 17, 1925 in Wallace, Ala. to Elizabeth Lindsey and Thomas Long, Eva graduated from Robertsdale High School in 1944.

She loved the Lord and served Him faithfully as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survivors include her sister, Ethel Peaces of Grand Isle, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Diann and Henry Stuckey of Foley; daughter-in-law, Jane Soesbe of Foley; five grandchildren, Rachel Nilsen, Jared Caine, Wendy Joelenbeck, Michael Soesbe and Joseph Caine; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Soesbe was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Soesbe; and son, the Rev. Mike Soesbe.

A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2014, at 2 p.m., at Pine Rest Funeral Home in Foley, with the Rev. Billy Nale and the Rev. Bill Jackson officiating.

The visitation will take place immediately preceding the service, from 1 to 2 p.m.

Burial will be in Pine Rest Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a charity that improves the quality of life for Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s patients.
