SUMMER PROGRAM

The program runs weekdays during the summer and is for kids going into K-6th grades. It’s open to year round Orange Beach residents only (proof of residency required).
It includes indoor & outdoor games, arts & crafts, movies, music, swimming, field trips, and special events. Activities are conducted by full time and/or summer staff.
COST: Registration fee is $35 for each child and is due at registration, plus 1st week payment of $60 for the first child and $55.00 for each additional child.

The City of Orange Beach Parks & Recreation Department conducts summer sailing camps. The program for junior sailors ages 9-14 is held at the city's Waterfront Park. Participation fee includes hands on sailing instruction, classroom instruction, knot tying, daily drink and participation certificate. Morning sessions for Beginning Sailors are held from 9 a.m.-noon, Mon.- Fri. Afternoon sessions for Intermediate Sailors are held from 1:30-4:30 p.m., Mon.-Fri. It is mandatory the campers be experienced, confident swimmers and be aware that this is an independent program where they will learn to handle their own boat.

COST: The fee to participate in Sail Camp is $100 for Orange Beach residents (proof of residency required) and $125 for nonresidents.

BLAKELEY STATE PARK BOAT TOUR

LOCATION: Explorer which departs at 9:30 a.m. The tour goes north into the Delta, back down the Mobile River through the busy Port of Mobile and loops back to Blakeley Park. Seating is available on a first come-first served basis but may be reserved by paying in advance using major credit cards.
COST: Tickets are $30 for adults, $15 for children 6-12 and free to children 4-5. All proceeds go to the operation of Blakeley State Park.
