GULF SHORES, Ala. — Cal Hanson, the spouse of a retired ExxonMobile employee, presents a $500 grant from ExxonMobil Foundation to Linda Chappelle, President of the Christian Service Center.

The grant was made possible because of Mr.Hanson’s many volunteer efforts. This grant will help the Center meet the rapidly growing demand for assistance to local families who need basic food and emergency services.

ExxonMobile supports programs targeted to worldwide health issues because they believe that good health is a springboard to opportunity, achievement and development.

In its 21st year, the Christian Service Center is a "Hand Up" rather than a "Hand Out" agency. Clients are given immediate emergency aid as well as guidance on finding solutions to problems.

The CSC is a 100% volunteer agency funded by the churches of Pleasure Island, various community organizations, including the United Way of Baldwin County, and interested individuals. For more information please call the CSC at 251-968-5256 or visit our web page, www.cscgs.com.
