FAIRHOPE, Alabama—The Fairhope Intemediate School team is the first and only archery team from an Eastern Shore area school to make it to state in the sport. Teams from Foley and Robertsdale also qualified. The Alabama state competition will be held in Montgomery on April 4 at the Cramton Bowl Complex and will field 1,260 shooters.
The FIS Archers are seeking sponsors to help pay travel expenses. If they do well in Montgomery then the next step is Kentucky.
The event is sponsored by the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and the National Archery School Program.
Sponsorships are being offered at $200 and they include the sponsor name on the back of the shirt as well as a banner. Contact Jodie Fidler at 209-6055 or email at: rjfidler@bellsouth.net
