Fairhope bridge closed for replacement

FAIRHOPE, Ala. - The Baldwin County Highway Department closed a section of County Road 44 today (Twin Beech Road) just west of County Road 13 to replace an aging bridge. The bridge, which is no longer rated for carrying vehicles with more than two axles, has visible structural damage. The county suggests using County Road 34 as a detour.
