Fairhope Christian Church Disciples of Christ presents scholarships

Fairhope Christian Church Disciples of Christ has awarded two college scholarships for 2007-08 from the Lymon and Lilah Hedden Scholarship Fund.

Recipients are Kathryn Mozer and Rob Parish. They are the fifth and sixth to receive scholarships from this fund, which was established in 2000. Mrs. Earl Martin, co-chairman, made the award.

Kathryn is a graduate of Bayside Academy and will be a senior at Lyndon State College, Lyndonville, Vt. where she is a resident assistant, math tutor and treasurer for Beta Alpha chapter of Sigma Zeta Math and Science Honor Society. She is majoring in broadcast meteorology and applied mathmatics.

Her parents are Martha K. Mozer of Daphne and Robert Mozer Jr. of New Hampshire. Her grandparents are Irene Keeling of Daphne and Robert and Lillian Mozer of Massachusetts.

Rob is a graduate of Daphne High School and will be a freshman at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Miss. this fall. In high school he was a member of the football team for four years, a member of Future Farmers of America and a member of the track team. He plans to pursue courses to become an athletic trainer. He is working this summer until time to attend the fall quarter at Southern.

His parents are Debbie and Charlie Parish of Daphne and his grandparents are Harold and Margie Robinson of Fairhope.
