FAIRHOPE, Ala. - Gregg Mims, Fairhope’s top city staffer, came up short again for a new job, this time in Walton County, Fla.
Although Mims, Fairhope’s city administrator, made the final four from about 100 applications and interviewed for the Northwest Florida county administrator job on April 26, the commissioners there stayed closer to home when they hired a local city manager for the job that day.
Mims also made the final list of candidates for a top Foley job earlier this year, but the city hired a former Baldwin County administrator for that position.
