Fairhope Courier editor starts monthly radio show tomorrow

FAIRHOPE, Alabama—Starting tomorrow at 8:30 a.m., Friday, Sept. 7, Fairhope Courier Editor Mike Odom will be heard monthly on WABF 1220 AM.

He will appear on station manager Lori DuBose’s community news show on the Friday before the first City Council meeting of each month.

That council meeting falls on the second Monday of each month and is preceded by a monthly public participation meeting, where citizens can raise questions and have a dialogue with council members, mayor and city staff.

His air time will vary a little from month to month, but here is schedule for rest of the year:

**Sept. 7, 8:30 a.m.;

**Oct. 5, 8:30 a.m.;

**Nov. 9, 8:20 a.m.; and

**Dec. 7, 8:30 a.m.

During the monthly show, he will preview the upcoming council and public participation meetings and look back at the most recent council meeting. Other community and local issues will also be discussed, according to WABF.

DuBose hosts a popular community news show at 8:20 a.m. during the week, which features interviews with local city and community leaders and individuals.

The schedule for that this show this week at 8:20 a.m. is as follows:

**Friday, Sept. 7—First Friday Art Walk.

Here is next week’s 8:20 a.m. schedule:

**Monday, Sept. 10—Cooking for the Community

**Wednesday, Sept. 12—Fairhope Police Chief Bill Press

**Friday, Sept. 14—National Fall Prevention Week.

WABF 1220 AM is celebrating its 50th anniversary of service to the Fairhope community, according to its website.
