Fairhope celebrated the Fourth of July with a fireworks show at the Municipal Pier. The 2020 celebration was cancelled due to COVID-19. The event was the first to be done by a private company instead of the Fairhope Volunteer Fire Department.
A large crowd gathered at the pier and on the bluffs to see the display and hear a performance of patriotic music by the Baldwin Pops orchestra.
