Fairhope High School’s FBLA-Future Business Leaders of America Club visited the local Boys/Girls club recently to celebrate Halloween with pumpkin carving and painting. The club participated in many different activities with the 45 third- and fourth-graders. Members helped the children carve their own pumpkin, some assisted in painting pumpkins, and several club members helped the children with their homework. FBLA’s president, senior Brett Lee, said, “I feel like today was a huge success. We came here to make a difference in these kid’s lives and I honestly feel like we did.” Fifteen club members participated in the event as well as the club sponsors Sharon Jones and Kristie Davis. FBLA has many more events planned in the community over the following months. FBLA member Whitney Ciongoliis shown at left with Gabriel Marks.
