FAIRHOPE, Ala. - A Fairhope man was arrested Monday on an eight-count indictment for multiple sex crimes against a child, according to a news release by Alabama Attorney General Luther Strange’s office Wednesday afternoon.
Robert Gaylord Kerr, 40, of Fairhope, was arrested Feb. 14 by agents of the U.S. Marshal’s Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force, taken to a local jail and later transported to the Baldwin County Corrections Center.
The indictment returned by a Baldwin County grand jury on Feb. 4 charges Kerr with felony counts of rape, sodomy, sexual abuse of a child less than 12 years old, and enticing a child less than 16 for intercourse or other sexual contact, the release stated.
All of the alleged crimes involve the same child victim, according to the Feb. 16 release.
