Fairhope Middle School held a blood drive in conjunction with Life South Community Blood Center. Students were encouraged to have an adult donate on their behalf. FMS exceeded their initial goal of 20 units with a total of 42 donated units. Life South provides 100 percent of the blood for Thomas Hospital, North Baldwin Hospital and all the hospitals in Mobile County.
Participants included Jennifer Manuel, Life South DSS Tech, Monica Byrd, Life South Team Leader, Mona Lester, parent and donor, and Katie Perry, seventh grade English teacher and donor.
