ROBERTSDALE, Alabama — The Fairhope Lady Pirates got their offense rolling and Grey Adams struck out 12 in a 10-1 win over Robertsdale on Tuesday night.

Adams (3-0) scattered six hits in the win for Fairhope, who improved to 4-0 overall and 3-0 in 6A Area 3 play.

"Grey did what she has always done for us," Fairhope head coach Jonathan Heflin said. "She has challenged batters in the strike zone and she was around the plate all night long. Our defense also played strong behind her. I think we are playing really well right now."

Megan Dowdy was 4-for-5 with 3 RBIs, Hannah Qualls was 3-for-3 with a double, a walk and 4 RBIs and Catherine Knight, Adams and Hannah Brown added RBIs for Fairhope, who hosts Theodore on Thursday at 7 p.m.

"We have been swinging the bat pretty well 1-9 in our lineup," Heflin said. "We haven't had a weak spot in our lineup. We've gotten production top to bottom. Somebody always comes up with a hit or moves a runner. We don't have many big power hitters this year, but we've got girls who will put the ball in play with singles and doubles to move runners. We can put them on the bases and push them across the plate."

Carly Cincotta had an RBI double for Robertsdale (5-2, 0-1), who plays at Foley on Thursday at 7 p.m. Austin Richardson had two hits, and Cincotta, Kayli Evans, Allee Bertolla and Carly Jefferson had hits for the Lady Bears.
