FAIRHOPE, Ala. - The City of Fairhope will begin routine flushing of its water distribution system beginning Monday, Sept. 13 and continuing through the end of October. The Water Department will start flushing at 7:30 a.m. each morning and continue until 2 p.m., Monday through Friday. Flushing of areas in downtown Fairhope will not begin until after 6 p.m.
During this time, residents and business owners may experience temporary low water pressure and discoloration of water. Residents and business owners are encouraged to check your water prior to washing clothing as staining may occur.
