FAIRHOPE, Ala. – In celebration of National Electrical Safety Month this May, the Fairhope electric department visited with third-grade classes at Fairhope Elementary School.
The recent presentation and demonstration educated students on how to play safe around power lines and electricity; what to do in the event of a downed power line; and how to be safe when there is lightning, according to a city news release.
The 30-minute interactive presentation was presented by electric department employees Scott Sligh, Jeremy Morgan and Jason Thrash.
