Fat Daddy’s Arcade coming to Orange Beach

ORANGE BEACH, Ala. – According to city officials, a new arcade and pizza place will be opening in the old Jake’s Steakhouse location on Perdido Boulevard in Orange Beach.

Officials said the building was sold by Richard Schwartz, who also has ownership in two Doc’s Seafood locations, Bubba’s Seafood House and Franco’s Italian Restaurant. The buyer is listed as Fun Makers LLC.

“It’s called Fat Daddy’s and we issued a demolition permit on Oct. 1,” city Director of Environmental and Engineering Services Kit Alexander said. “We don’t know where it is in construction right now. I don’t when they are going to open.”

Alexander said the restaurant will function much like a Chuckie Cheese.

“It’s going to have like an arcade,” she said. “It’s going to have a purple and green and white and pink facade. It’s going to be pretty funky.”
