Faulkner students get to rub elbows with 'rock star' chefs

ORANGE BEACH, AL – Culinary students from Faulkner State will get the chance to work alongside some of the top chefs in the country during the Southern Grace Dinners series at Fisher’s at Orange Beach Marina.

“They get to spend a day in the kitchen working right beside these chefs,” owner Johnny Fisher said. “If you’re going to culinary school these are the rock stars. For them it’s really cool seeing their faces. We’ve actually hired a couple of these students after the dinners and seeing what they are doing.”

A different student is selected for each of the seven dinners.

“It’s a reward for those students,” Fisher said. “For them to be hanging out in the back working with any of these folks is really cool.”
