I can understand how frightening it would be to see a bunch of camouflage-wearing, heavily-armed, face-blackened, black-ops types coming at you with their efficient, military-trained and focused attitude.
I mean, who-ee, that would be frightening and disturbing.
But I'm here to tell you this: It is almost as disturbing to see a trend I'm seeing more and more.
Forget about the weaponry. Forget about the black-ops or the face paint. Forget about the focused attitude. And forget about the camouflage ... with the exception of camouflage Bermuda shorts.
Yes, I'm seeing more and more older gentleman wearing camouflage Bermuda shorts. I can only ask why.
Seriously, I know this is the South but there are just certain things that shouldn't have camouflage print on them: a baby's bib; the cover of the Holy Bible; a tuxedo; sheets and pillow cases; a wedding gown; anybody appearing in a church directory or having a Glamour Shot.
And, oh yeah, Bermuda shorts worn by old guys!
What is an old guy saying who goes out in public wearing camouflage Bermuda shorts?
Does he think he's storming a beach somewhere ... like Miami Beach or Malibu Beach?
Does he think it's fashionable? Well, it's not!
Camouflage Bermuda shorts is like saying "beautiful jowls" or "enchanting cellulite." There's no such thing. It's just not right!
Seriously, if you're not going to consider doing away with Bermuda shorts all-together at your age at least give the rest of us a break and do away with the camouflage pattern.
Stick with summer colors ... your greens and yellows and the like. Nix, nein, no on the camo!
After seeing you in your camouflage Bermuda shorts that raises another legitimate question I have.
Why are there so many different kinds of socks today?
Ankle length, crew, orthopedic, sport, and on and on. And not any of them look good with camo Bermudas!
