This February’s wine tasting will be Thursday at 6 p.m.
The wine tasting will be at the Foley Performing Art center at 116 W. Laurel Ave. in Foley.
Reservations are required and limited to 40 people, they came be made by phone by calling Pierre Vilain at 251-970-1480 or by e-mailing him at wineguyinfoley@comcast.net. Reservation cut off is today at 5 p.m.
The wines we will taste are:
Rosa Regale — a Brachetto from Italy that is sweet, bubbly, and red.
Bloom Riesling — from the Rhienhessen appellation of Germany. It’s crisp with a little green apple.
Chocolate Box G.S.M. — (Grenache, Shiraz, Mataro) Spice and cinnamon over a robust and generous body. It leaves a persistent lingering silky finish.
Bliss Merlot - Coming from established vineyards in Oak Knoll and Napa, this Merlot is a perfect example of well-sourced grapes. With aromas of dark berries and a deep color, you are welcomed with a full bodied Merlot showing varietal correct stone fruit, malt chocolate flavors, and sturdy tannins.
