Loxley — Approximately 200 cars are anticipated to be in the car show sponsored by Baldwin EMC Saturday, April 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. during this year’s 21st Annual Baldwin County Strawberry Festival.
The festival presented by Burris Farm Market on April 12 and 13 will be held at Loxley Municipal Park on Highway 59-Exit 44 off of Interstate 10 and will hosts a variety of more than 160 art and crafts vendors, live entertainment, a carnival and great Strawberry shortcake.
Saturday’s Car show is presented by the Panhandle Cruisers and cars in 21 classes will be judged for first, second and third place trophies. These cars include classic cars, street rods, sports cars, customs, muscle cars, pro street and pickups, vintage and antique autos — all part of the premier automotive enthusiasts event in Southern Alabama. A car exhibition will be held Sunday, April 13.
Additional awards for Best of Show, Best Interior, Best Engine, Best Paint, and Festival’s Choice, are also awarded. Others interested in participating simply need to register at www.panhandlecruisers.org or “Applications” at www.baldwincountystrawberryfestival.org. Registration fees go to the Strawberry Festival and proceeds from the day’s 50/50 drawing funds our club’s charitable donations throughout the year.
“We have received such positive feedback over the last few years from car show participants and attendees that come to our event specifically for the car show,” said festival chairman Laurie Gruenloh. “The Panhandle Cruisers are great to work with from a festival aspect and seem to host a top-rated car show. The car exhibition on Sunday was also enjoyed by many for the first time last year.”
Festival Hours this year are Saturday, April 12 and 13 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information regarding the 21st Annual Baldwin County Strawberry Festival contact (251) 550-2003 or go to www.baldwincountystrawberryfestival.org .
