ELBERTA — Thousands descended on Elberta Town Park this past Saturday for the Elberta German Sausage Festival.

Elberta Volunteer Fire Department’s semi-annual fundraiser attracted visitors from Fairhope, Foley, Pensacola and even Germany.

The event included live entertainment provided by such artists as the Polka Dots, children’s activities and vendor booths offering both wares and concessions. But the highlight of the day was the German sausage dogs, which kept waiting lines filled.
