As athletic director and head football coach at Fairhope High School, I would like to thank everyone who came out to support the Pirates Thursday night, Oct. 13. The community support was amazing, and our team is very appreciative for the “Pirate Nation” showing up in full force. I would also like to thank C-Spire for allowing us to be part of such a wonderful event and for all they do for high school football.
A special thank you needs to go out to Mayor Tim Kant and the many city employees and police officers who worked long hours to help insure such an exciting, yet safe environment for all the fans. I must also recognize Tom Kuhl and his staff for their work in producing a first class venue for the game.
Dr. Beverly Thomas, Fairhope High School principal, was the key player in making sure game night happened. Without her support and tireless efforts Thursday night simply could not have occured. Her administrative staff and office staff went above and beyond the call of duty in handling game-related issues. This list could go on and on including those who work behind the scenes to help us each and every Friday night in the concession stand,on the chain crew,in the press box and on the field as well as our Pirate Booster Club, cheerleaders and band. Again, thank you Fairhope, and GO PIRATES!
