Clara Files, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007 at her residence in Fairhope.
She was born in 1921 to share croppers, T.E. and Ellen Perkins. She met and married Roscoe Files in 1942. She and Roscoe retired to Alabama to enjoy their friends, golf, and each other.
Survivors include a sister, Mae Harter; nephews Michael Harter, Michael Perkins, Eddy Perkins; and niece, Donna Perkins Martin.
The family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to everyone at Home Instead Senior Care.
Friends will hold an informal gathering from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20 at her residence.
