Fire engulfed a home Tuesday afternoon on South Stoddard Street in Robertsdale. Members of the Robertsdale Fire Department, among others fought the blaze, which also engulfed a vehicle on the property. Chief John Lucas with the Robertsdale Fire Department said the cause of the fire is still under investigation, but it is believed that the fire was caused by an electrical short in the garage area. Although the fire did extensive damage in two rooms of the home, Lucas said he did not believe the home was a total loss, with most of the outside structure of the home still intact. The Robertsdale Fire Department was assisted by Silverhill and Elsanor in fighting the blaze.
