Five arrested in three month undercover investigation by Baldwin County Sheriff's Drug Task Force

ROBERTSDALE, Ala. — The culmination of a three month undercover investigation by the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Drug Task Force along with assistance from the United States Marshals Service in Mobile and Austin, Tx netted five arrests in the Robertsdale and Loxley areas on July 15.

According to a press release by the BCSDF, a variety of drugs including methamphetamines, marijuana, cocaine and prescription drugs were involved in the investigation and drug suspects include:

- Jason Edward Rich, 33, of County Road 71, Robertsdale, currently in the Baldwin County Correctional Facility in Bay Minette on $36,000 bond and charged with one count of possession of drug paraphernalia ($1,000), one count of manufacture of a controlled substance first degree ($25,000), one count of possession of a controlled substance ($5,000)

- Bridgette Ann Clark, 49, of 74 Fincher Lane, Loxley, in jail with no bond and charged with one count of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance ($30,000), two counts of interference with custody ($1,520), one count of theft of services second degree ($500 to $2,500) ($4,138), one count of possession of a forged instrument second degree ($984), one count of fraudulent use of a credit/debit card and three traffic charges ($220 and $260)

- Quzone Demetrius Williams, Jr., 31, of 14490 Smith Ln, Loxley, released on $10,000 bond and charged on one count of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance

- Twila L. Cart, 54, of 24982 Patterson Rd. , Loxley, released on $1,000 bond and charged with one count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance

- Vicki Stegall, 54, of 20573 Silverhill Ave., Robertsdale, released on July 18 on $10,000 bond and charged with one count of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.

The majority of these drug deals took place within a three mile radius of a school or public housing project and because of the that, carries an additional five years added onto the sentence the defendant receives in court, the press release said.

The investigation included undercover buys, surveillance, establishing relationships with the suspects and the use of informants, according to Lt. Clint Cadenhead of the Drug Task Force in Robertsdale.

“Most of the suspects only had a user amount of drugs on them but one of them had one kilo of cocaine in his possession which is worth about $20,000,” Cadenhead said.
