Flavors of the South event draws hundreds to Robertsdale

ROBERTSDALE, Alabama --- Hundreds of participants indulged in offerings from over 25 vendors and nearly 60 silent auction items were available Thursday, July 26 at the Ninth Annual Flavors of the South wine and food tasting event at the Baldwin County Coliseum in Robertsdale.

Businesses throughout Baldwin County participated in the annual event, which serves as a major fundraiser for the Chamber.

Baldwin EMC was the presenting sponsor for the event. Diamond sponsors were Cain’s Piggly Wiggly and Power Productions. Gold sponsors were Budweiser-Busch Distributing Co., Century 21, SSM Real Estate, Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Inc. and the Baldwin County Cattle and Fair Association; Silver sponsors were Gruenloh & Associates and Mack Funeral Home. Bronze sponsors were Franklin Primary Health Center and Riviera Utilities.

Entertainment this year was provided by David Ellis.

A total 26 beverage and 16 food vendors participated in this year’s event.

Vendors included Brookley Wine Group, Budweiser-Busch, Burris Farm Market, Café Gourmand, Cain’s Piggly Wiggly, Coca-Cola, Fish River Grill, Gideon Group Wines, Goo Roo’s Grill, Greer’s Catering, Hickory House Barbecue, International Wines, Ivey’s Fine Dining, LA BBQ and Catering, Lil G’s Cajun Market, M & J Wines, Magnolia Blossom Café, Mama Lou’s, Mediterranean Sandwich Co., O’Charley’s, Sam’s Club, South Baldwin Regional Medical Center, The Bake Shoppe Café, The Blake at Malbis, Vitolli’s Pizzeria and The Sugar Kettle.
