Fifth grade students at Stapleton Elementary practiced geometry motions by using letters of the alphabet. The letters were special to the students because it was the first letter in their name. The students practiced slides, flips and rotations and then used their productive thinking skills to turn their letters into another object. Shannon Stanton, the fifth grade math teacher, uses many hands on activities to help the students practice math skills.
