Posted

ORANGE BEACH, AL — The world renowned beach bar and honky-tonk, Flora-Bama, was recognized last year by the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association for its annual “Bulls on the Beach” rodeo on Perdido Key Beach.

In its fourth year, this family-friendly event, features professional cowboys riding 2,000 pounds of real live romping, stomping bulls just adjacent to the iconic 52-year-old roadhouse.

This Great Florida Event is slated for Sept. 9-10 and is the ninth event of the $125,000 “Beach” series featuring an international circuit of riders including local favorite, Cody Harris, along with Chris “Booger” Brown who’ve both been featured in the popular “ Dukes of Cattle” and “The Cowboy Way: Alabama” reality shows.

The whole family is invited to this event with gates opening at 6 p.m, Friday and Saturday. Admission is $25 for adults, 18 and older (or $40 for both nights); $15 for youth 7-17 ($20 for both nights); and kids 6 and under free.

Membership card holders receive $5 drink ticket with purchase. Music will be playing on the stage prior to the rodeo and along with rodeo clowns, mechanical bull rides will be available for $5 (adults only) before the show at 6pm and after the show until midnight both nights.

Thanks to our sponsors, Jim Beam and Eastern Shore Toyota, a portion of sales will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital whose mission “is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment with no child denied.”

Both of the Flora-Bama eateries will be dishing up cowboy themed grub before the show. Patrons can come enjoy a delicious meal at Flora-Bama Yacht Club or Flora-Bama Ole River Bar & Grill before catching this thrill seeking rodeo show. Advance ticket sales along with souvenir T-shirts and hats can be purchased in the gift shop or online at florabama.com.

Tickets available in gift shop or online at www.florabama.com.
