Florian Augustine Turla, age 91, native of Detroit, Michigan and a resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018.
He attended Shepherd's Place, and loved being on the water, fishing and gardening.
Mr. Turla was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and Korean Conflict, and was proud to participate in the Honor Flight.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gus and Agatha Turla; both of his wives, Sharon W. Turla and Lady Sutton Turla; two brothers, Robert Turla and Carl Turla.
He is survived by his daughter, Robin M. Barry of Fairhope; grandchildren, Randal L. Ecker of Elmendorf A.F. Base, Alaska and Austin M. Ecker of Hill A.F. Base, Utah; great-grandchildren, Bryson L. Ecker, Mason L. Ecker, Ava McMahan and Audrey O. Ecker; nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
A celebration of Mr. Turla's life will be held Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope.
The family will receive friends beginning at 1 until service time.
