This week’s focus is Hunter Myers, a seventh-grade student at Gulf Shores Middle School (GSMS). His full name is Hunter Blaine Myers and he has lived in Gulf Shores for his whole life.

He loves the sandy beach and adores the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. He has a half-brother named Mason that lives in Colorado with his dad, George Myers. His mom’s name is Tara Myers.

On weekends he loves to practice playing music with Austin Thompson and Robbie Bishop. Some of the things he likes to do in his free time are playing the guitar, the drums, singing and playing the keyboard. As you can see, he loves music. He goes to Christian Life Church in Orange Beach.

Hunter is not a sporty type of guy, but whenever track comes around in the school year, Hunter would like to join. Hunter has one cat and two dogs. His cat’s name is Cinza and one of his dogs is a golden retriever, named Niko and the other one is a black retriever, named J.B.

When he gets out of high school he would like to go to college at the University of Alabama or Boulder University in Colorado. His goal for life is to become a musician. When he grows up he is  considering moving to Ireland or the United Kingdom, (UK), because he likes their music and cultures. His favorite type of food is pepperoni pizza, his favorite TV show is South Park, and his favorite holiday is definitely Christmas.

“I love music and it has done a lot for me,” he said. “I like to hang out with my friends, but overall I’m an optimistic kind of person, I also like meeting new people.”
